ANSI World Standards Week Sponsored by Kavi
Monday, 22 September 2008Kavi sponsored ANSI World Standards Week 2008, October 20-23 in Bethesda, Maryland. The four-day conference featured a number of workshops of interest to ANSI members and standards developers. An awards ceremony and banquet on Wednesday, October 22 honored fifteen individuals recognized for their significant contributions to national and international standardization activities. Thursday, October 23 marked the U.S. celebration of World Standards Day, with a reception and dinner at the Ronald Reagan International Trade Center in Washington, DC. Together, the attendees celebrated ANSI’s 90th birthday at one of the standards community’s biggest events of the year.
Kavi Exhibited at NATO Standardization Conference
Wednesday, 18 September 2008The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) invited Kavi to exhibit at the NATO Standardization Conference from September 16-18 in Landsdowne, VA. Co-hosted by the United States and the NATO Standardization Agency (NSA) and Allied Command Transformation (ACT), this exclusive conference brought together practitioners from North America and Europe to discuss the future of standards development within NATO.
Kavi to Sponsor Standards Engineering Society's Annual Conference
Monday, 21 July 2008Join us for a Kavi-sponsored breakfast at the Standards Engineering Society's 57th Annual Conference in San Diego, August 18-19. The two-day event is entitled, "The World of Standards: Is It Really a Zoo Out There?" and unites some of the most important organizations in the standards community. Expert panelists will discuss topics such as toy product safety, standards and government, and how to improve the standards development process.
Kavi Presented at ANSI Annual Forum
Monday, 9 June 2008Kavi Corporation was invited to speak at the 2008 ANSI Open Forum for Standards Developers, the fourth in a series of ANSI-sponsored forums encouraging exchange between and among SDOs, consortia, consumers, and policy makers. Chris Gift, VP of Marketing at Kavi, participated in a panel discussion on emerging technologies in standards development. The event was held June 24-25 in Washington DC.
Kavi Will Support WHDI Standards Development Online
Monday, 12 May 2008WHDI (Wireless High Definition Interface) standards development will take place online using Kavi Workspace. WHDI allows flat-panel televisions and projectors to wirelessly interface to all HDTV video sources at a quality level equivalent to that of wired interfaces. The development of the standard of “uncompressed and uncompromised HDTV” will be streamlined with Kavi tools, allowing collaboration between members and member companies to take place within a password-protected space.
HomeGrid Forum Launches Kavi Workspace Members Site
Monday, 24 March 2008The HomeGrid Forum has launched their standards development space with Kavi applications. Members of the association work towards the development of a next-generation single coax, powerline and phone line standard for home networking. The HomeGrid Forum aims to promote widespread adoption of their standard while ensuring compliance and interoperability. Kavi tools will allow the HomeGrid Forum to advance standards development efficiently, providing an online solution where members can collaborate within a protected space.
InfoComm Manages Standards Activity with Kavi Workspace
Friday, 25 February 2008InfoComm has launched their standards development members-only web site using Kavi applications. The worldwide leading association in the AV communications industry, InfoComm has promoted industry standards and offered certification for AV products since 1939. By using Kavi Workspace, InfoComm will be able to work towards its goal of providing industry standards that customers can rely on and that audiovisual professionals can build their systems to meet.
Kavi Welcomes the SD Card Association
Monday, 21 October 2007The new site supports membership management functions, provides a comprehensive set of collaboration tools for its committees and access to specifications and other documentation. Featuring Kavi Workspace and Kavi Membership (including online member signup and renewal), the new SD Card Association site replaces a series of custom-built tools, saving money, adding features, and reducing risk for the organization. Previous organization data - including an existing visual design, member company and user data, committee data, and specifications - have been migrated into the Kavi application suite, providing a seamless transition for existing members. Kavi Staff Receive Awards From the SNIA
Wednesday, 17 October 2007The Storage Network Industry Alliance (SNIA) relaunched their online presence in partnership with Kavi. Featuring Kavi Workspace and Kavi Showcase, the new site also sports a fresh visual design for the organization's tenth anniversary.
To celebrate the relaunch, the SNIA presented four Kavi staff members with plaques for their "hard work, spirit of teamwork, and can-do attitude" during the project. These plaques are a point of pride for Kavi, demonstrating the close relationship we maintain with our customers.
The new SNIA site also features a variety of Kavi-powered solutions, including a database-driven Events Calendar, Google Custom Search, and a dynamic Member Directory. Visit the SNIA site to learn more.
